Call the White House 10am-3pm EST and ask for President Trump to create an EO or Declaration to Release Tina Peters into the Federal Prison/Health/ Program. By declaring her case a FEDERAL MATTER. Also describe her failing health and advise if they do not get her out soon.. the Colorado Prison System could be charged with Mistreatment of a Prison Inmate. She has Fibromyalgia and can't get comfortable to sleep. Colorado statutes and regulations grant prisoners specific rights regarding treatment, such as protection from cruel and unusual punishment, freedom from sexual abuse, and the right to clean living conditions.
Additionally, federal constitutional rights, such as due process and humane treatment, apply. The Colorado Department of Corrections (DOC) also has its own internal policies and a Code of Penal Discipline that dictate inmate treatment. Recent legislation, such as House Bill 25-1013, is also establishing visitation as a right for incarcerated individuals.
Tina Peters is 70 years old, a Gold Star Mom and a Cancer Survivor. She is not a "flight risk" nor a "liar". This Judge acted in a reprehensible manner. And we can help with some education and reform in the Prisons and Courtrooms.
