(November 28th Friday) The CHICAGO MERCANTILE EXCHANGE (CME) closed global trading for 11-hours claiming "Cooling issues" with their DATA CENTERS.

The CME Group halted trading on its Globex platform due to a cooling system failure at the CyrusOne CHI1 data center in the Chicago area, starting around 8:40 PM CT on November 27, 2025 (late evening), and resuming for futures and options markets at 7:30 AM CT on November 28, 2025. This caused an approximately 11-hour shutdown. Other platforms, like BrokerTec EU, reopened earlier, but the core markets were offline until then, with full operations by 1:40 PM GMT (8:40 AM CT). All-day orders for November 28 were canceled as a result. This was not related to the Thanksgiving holiday schedule, which included early closures for some contracts but otherwise allowed trading.
