Lessons from History and the Breakthrough Unfolding: Don't Worry What You Think They Think
On this day of thanksgiving we choose gratitude. Not as a polite habit, but as a spiritual posture that unlocks faith, shifts reality, and invites God to move in ways we cannot manufacture. Today I want to remind you: if you truly understood the scope of what God has done for you and in you, you would have no reason to murmur. You would stand, bold and expectant, because choosing God's goodness is a choice that positions you for deliverance, provision, and supernatural increase.
Lessons from History: Why We Tell the Story
Psalm 78 calls us to remember and pass on lessons from the past. The narrative of Israel is full of miracles: the sea divided, a cloud by day and fire by night, water from the rock, provision raining down like manna. Yet even after those signs, a generation complained, tested God, and wandered in fear. Their grumbling limited the flow of blessing.
"We will continue to tell our children and not hide from the rising generation the great marvels of our God, his miracles, his power that have brought us all this far."
Memory matters. The gospel is not just doctrine; it is a heritage to be passed down. Schools and culture may strip scripture from public life, but the mountain of family remains. It is our responsibility to speak the truth into our children, nieces, nephews, and neighbors so the next generation will set its hope in God rather than in fleeting ideologies.
Don't Mumble, Grumble, or Complain
The desert days are real. We wait, we pray, we stretch toward the promise, and still the breakthrough delays. In those seasons, the temptation to grumble is strong. But history teaches that grumbling disqualifies blessing. God poured out manna and quail; yet their hearts were not satisfied. Grumbling provoked God's anger and slowed their advance.
Gratitude is a spiritual lever. It opens heaven's windows. When you refuse to murmur and instead sing praise—even when you are in a desert—you create space for God to bring the provision and the miracle that will surprise the world.
Practical Faith: Seeds, Family, and Unexpected Openings
Faith is both public and practical. The seeds you plant with your words, actions, and hospitality often bear fruit in ways you cannot forecast. I can tell you from experience: continue to speak truth about the love and power of God in normal, non-religious language. When family or friends think you are odd or out of touch, keep sowing. This is my story. Recently I met two nieces I didn't even know existed. My brother disappeared 50 years ago and we all assumed him dead, only to discover he was alive with wife and kids thousands of miles from where I last saw him as an 8 year old boy. I met his daughters and we had a great time - they were grateful to have found a "Cool Uncle", that is until they found my face book feed and decided I must some kind of freak even though their personal experience proved anything but that. Anyway, after much silence, now they are reaching out to me, the man of a faith they don't yet understand, asking for help. I went from Freak yesterday to Lifeline of of Hope today.  Be uncompromising in your faith and you beliefs and don't worry about what you think they think. Sometimes the same people who call you a freak today will call you a lifeline tomorrow. Â
Keep faith simple and real. Speak about love, supernatural help, and hope, not religious jargon that repels people.
Be consistent. Seeds go in before sprouts come up. Your steadfastness will matter when crisis brings them back to you.
Use plain language. Walk in compassion and show practical help—be a healer, a listener, a helper.Â
One conversation, one act of kindness, one invitation may be the turning point for a life. The Holy Spirit often uses ordinary interactions as the mechanism of extraordinary rescue.
The Levees Are Cracking: Pressure Is Not a Sign to Quit
There is a season when it feels like the pressure will never end. Like pulling a slingshot back farther than you thought possible. That tension is not to be wished away; it is the very thing that stores the force of your launch. The Lord is saying that the levees holding your breakthrough are cracking under the storm pressures and will soon give way.
PS 45:6-7Â says: Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever, and justice is the scepter of Your kingdom. And God says to you: Becuase you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore I, God, your God, have anointed you above your companions with the oil of joy.
This breaking will release a much-anticipated breakthrough with the capacity to bless nations—one person at a time. Your faithfulness in the pressure prepares you for the release. The war around your breakthrough may be fierce, but the victory that follows will be worth every trial.
A New Adventure of Hope and Prosperity
Expect a new beginning. Expect helpers to show up. Where you have been isolated, the community comes alongside. Where you have carried a burden alone, help will arrive. You will arise like a phoenix from the ashes of hopelessness. The promise is both personal and communal: God will prosper your soul, mind, emotions, and body. This is not mere optimism; it is a prophetic promise tied to persistent faith.
Pass It On: The Work of an Ecclesia
We are called to be a people who remember, who praise, and who pass on testimony. Communion with the Lord—remembering His body and blood—anchors us in the covenant and reminds us of what He has already accomplished. That remembrance becomes fuel for the next generation’s faith.
Speak the stories of mercy. Tell of deliverance and provision. Let the history of God’s faithfulness be your testimony in family rooms, around dinner tables, and across the coffee cups of friends. Those stories are seeds that God will water in His timing.
Final Charge
Today, choose the goodness of God. Stop the murmuring. Plant seeds. Tell history. Keep your eyes fixed on the promise. The oil of joy is being poured over your head. The levees are cracking, and the breakthrough is at hand. We are not alone, and our God has not forgotten us. Stand in faith, love righteousness, and be relentless in gratitude.
