Mass Effect TV Series is Doing What Every Video Game Adaptation Does and It's Gonna SUCK!

Bioware is confident they will be making Mass Effect 5, but they seem like the only people in such a position. After the debacle that was Dragon Age: The Veilguard, who is even left at that once great studio to produce something nominally better than Andromeda?

While the next game is a long ways away, the next installment in the wider franchise will be an Amazon Prime Video TV series that will be set in the Universe, but not adapt the game or follow any of the characters. So instead of telling the ready-made story of Commander Shepherd, the braintrust in the writer's room think they can tell a sequel story that will somehow satisfy people still upset with the ending of trilogy? Good luck...
