I made Brooke Ervin’s No-Knead Cheese Bread, and HOLY MOLY… this loaf is unreal. It’s soft, cheesy, herby, with the most beautiful crunchy crust. And the best part? No kneading. No experience needed. Just mix, rest, and bake.

This is genuinely the BEST “first bread” recipe I’ve ever tried, and I cannot believe how simple and delicious it is. If I can do it… anyone can!

⭐ Ingredients (Brooke Ervin’s Original Recipe)
* ½ cups warm water
* 2 ¼ tsp yeast
* 3 ¼ cups flour
* 1 tsp salt
* 2 tsp Italian herbs (optional — I used them)
* 2 cups grated cheese (any kind!)

⭐ Method (Easy No-Knead Steps)
1. In a bowl, mix warm water + yeast.
2. Add flour, salt, herbs and mix into a shaggy dough.
3. Add grated cheese and mix again.
4. Grease the bowl, cover, and let rest for 1.5 hours.
5. Drop the dough onto parchment and shape however you like.
6. Place on parchment inside a Dutch oven.
7. Bake covered at 450°F / 230°C for 20 mins.
8. Then bake uncovered for 5–10 mins more.

9. Cool… then slice and prepare to fall in love. 😍

This bread is PERFECT with soup, pasta, a roast dinner — or honestly just butter.
