Retro Game Players 05 - Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers

Ever since I was a little kid, I watched Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers all the time. I wouldn't miss an episode after school when it came on television. (I was that hardcore fan of a rescue rangers.)

Along with the t.v. show there were toys (Which I still remember getting those from frosted flakes cereal boxes.) clothes, bed sheets, posters, vhs tapes, and of course the NES game. I was really, really, REALLY excited about the fact that the rescue rangers were coming out for the NES and I managed to get a copy of the game for Christmas. I was very excited.

Now that I got a trip from memory lane let's get started on the game. It is a 1-2 player game which the player can choose to be Chip or Dale. The goal is to stop Fat Cat from taking over the world and rescue Gadget Hackwrench along the way. To defeat your enemies, you to throw objects at them like in Super Mario Bros. 2 like boxes, balls, iron, and whatever this is? You can throw them forward or upward which is more useful against bosses.

Whenever you beat a boss you go through a bonus round where you got 5 seconds to clear all the boxes and get a 1-up if you find one. You can also choose which path you want to take but when you rescue gadget you have to clear the last 3 levels.

You also get cheese which Monterey Jack gets and breaks a hole for you to enter and there is Zipper who gives you invisibility for a short time. Only 3 bosses in this game are known from the show. The first level boss, the kitchen diner level boss, and of course the final boss is Fat Cat.

It's more fun to play this game with 2 people and that's if you can find somebody who wants to play this game with you nowadays.

It's 26 years later and I'm 42-years old now and I'm still a fan of the Rescue Rangers and I just watched all the episodes on Disney+ and I saw the live-action movie on Disney+. My feelings for the rescue rangers is still strong today and my love for the rescue rangers hasn't changed at all. I'm a rescue ranger at heart and still is a rescue ranger now and forever.
