This demo shows how 95% ethanol (the ethanol–water azeotrope) can be dried to 100% ethanol using molecular sieves. Distillation alone cannot break the azeotrope, but sieves absorb water molecules, leaving pure ethanol behind. Absolute ethanol is used in laboratory chemistry, biofuel blends, and sterilization processes.

Safety note: Ethanol is flammable and should only be handled in a controlled laboratory with proper PPE and ventilation.
