The title of this video is of my own choosing to describe the video as a whole, and presented in a specific context. But it is actually two unrelated documentary pieces stitched together, Cargo Cult Mentality, a ~15 min mini documentary by anthropologist and director Robert Shepherd, a film that really expanded my understanding of both historical and modern divergent behaviors and world views that I (and many others) notice in the African American and broader Pan-African demographic communities. I'm not implying and notion of superiority nor apologetics for any of the more negatively viewed habits, if anything though it did help me better understand their mentality in the appropriate context.

I put this first to put viewers in a mindset that is juxtaposed from the key takeaways of the second part, which is all 3 parts of a documentary trilogy by a brilliant filmmaker who runs a youtube channel called Forgotten History, and it's roughly 45 min in its totality and will very articulately counter everything you have ever been taught about slavery. Specifically, it demonstrates quite well the indisputable facts that the transatlantic slave trade was not only not unique , but practically irrelevant if viewed outside of the narrow lens of British/American settlers from the new world during that specific stretch of time. Not only is the ongoing shaming of whites a complete misattributed resentment, but even moreso the whites theoretically have consistently more justification in resentment, though moreso to the elite class in general, but also to some minority groups.
