Rain forces Stargel Stadium groundbreaking indoors

Jason Stargel, son of Willard Stargel, former Taft coach and teacher and stadium eponym, spoke at Wednesday’s ground breaking for Stargel Stadium. "We just wanted to give our thanks. We appreciate everything that Taft High School has done in tribute to Pops," he said. "And we recognize that this stadium is going to be tremendous, not only for the students at Taft, but for many students at Cincinnati public schools." Rain forced the ceremony to be held in the Taft High School gym.
