How Can I Prevent Feeling Drained After Christmas?

The holiday season is often seen as a time of joy, but if I’m honest, it can also bring a lot of stress. In this episode, I take a closer look at what I call the “holiday drain,” exploring the real reasons so many of us feel overwhelmed this time of year. I share a few eye-opening statistics and personal stories, along with a simple but powerful four-point plan that’s helped me slow down, set healthy limits, focus on people rather than presents, and intentionally make space to rest and reflect.

I’ve come to realize that the holidays were never meant to be about exhaustion or excess. They’re meant to be about gratitude, peace, and purpose. In this episode, I challenge myself, and you, to realign our focus on the true meaning of Christmas: the birth of Jesus Christ. Building on last week’s message about bringing faith back into our celebrations, I talk about practical ways to ease both financial and emotional pressures and invite you to join our growing community, The Financially Confident Christian, for encouragement in managing both faith and finances.

I close with a heartfelt prayer and some simple steps to help you make room for rest, reflection, and renewed joy this Christmas season.
