Auburn FIRES Hugh Freeze, Alabama - LSU Week, CFB Playoff Rankings Prediction | TNR 11/3/25

​The Auburn Tigers have fired Hugh Freeze after a disastrous performance against the Kentucky Wildcats Saturday night. Auburn Football lost to Kentucky Football 10-3 in what would be Freeze’s final game. Defensive coordinator DJ Durkin will take over as the Tigers coach for the final three regular season games.

The Alabama Crimson Tide enjoyed a bye week after a brutal stretch of wins. Now, Alabama Football gears up for the rivalry game against the LSU Tigers. LSU Football is facing the Tide while playing for an interim coach after the firing of Brian Kelly.

What is one improvement you hope to see from Alabama out of the bye?

The Texas Longhorns built a huge lead against the Vanderbilt Commodores and held on late for the 34-31 win. Texas Football QB Arch Manning had his best game in the Burnt Orange while Vandy QB Diego Pavia was great as well. Even with Pavia’s performance, did Vandy see both his Heisman chances and their playoff chances die in Austin?

Speaking of Playoff chances dying, The Oklahoma Sooners kept theirs alive and likely killed The Tennessee Volunteers chances of making the playoffs with a 33-27 win in Knoxville. Oklahoma Football is now 7-2 and Tennessee Football drops to 6-3.

In the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, the Georgia Bulldogs came from behind yet again to beat the Florida Gators 24-20. The win keeps Georgia Football at 7-1 while Florida Football slips to 3-5.
