In this interview John Kiriakou talks to Ray McGovern, former CIA officer and political analyst provides some insightful analysis on Russia's strategy in the war in Ukraine, and the state of play for a ceasefire and ending the war after three years.

Ray McGovern is a political analyst and former Central Intelligence Agency officer. He served from 1963 t0 1990. In 2003 he co-founded Veteran Intelligence Professions for Sanity (VIPs). He received the Intelligence Commendation Medal at his retirement from the CIA, returning it in 2006 to protest the agency's involvement in torture.
