HALLOWEEN 1978: IS IT STILL A HORROR CLASSIC?

I Remember my parents taking us to see this movie when it came out in 1978, I was 8 years old and this movie scared the hell out of me..

I hear people all the time talking about the best horror movies especially this this time of year. I always hear about Jason, Freddy, Ghost Face, and the list goes on. I even hear some people say that the original Halloween is not even scary.

Is Halloween 1978 still a horror classic?
