Saint Ignatius of Antioch - Disciple of the Apostle John

St. Ignatius Bishop of Antioch is a very important saint in the history of the Church as he is one of only 3 Apostolic Fathers, who had direct ties to the Apostles (in his case the Apostle John), and whose writings have survived. It amazes me that so many Christians align themselves with Protestant founders like Martin Luther or John Calvin rather than those who actually knew and were disciples of the Apostles. The writings of St. Ignatius show just how Catholic the early Church was!!
