Adam Driver Wanted to Make a New Star Wars Movie, But Disney Said NO!

One of the very few aspects of the Sequel Trilogy people have somewhat of a fondness for is Adam Driver. Not so much Kylo Ren, but Driver put in a good performance of the several different iterations of the character. So when the biggest star to come out that trilogy expressed interest in coming back to the franchise, you would assume Lucasfilm would be more than happy to strike while the iron is somewhat hot, right?

In 2021 with Steven Soderbergh attached, Driver presented a script and idea for The Hunt For Ben Solo, a continuation of the character post-Rise of Skywalker. Kathleen Kennedy and the Lucasfilm braintrust were on board, but Disney passed on the idea for obvious, character related reasons. Instead they will hold out hope for more Rey content and sit content knowing they spurned the biggest star to gain notoriety out of their vanity project masquerading as a successful business venture.

Oh, and every Disney Star Wars movie, save one, lost considerable money. Lol.
