Gov. JB Pritzker won $1.4 million in Vegas playing blackjack

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker reported $1.4 million in blackjack winnings from a Las Vegas casino in his latest tax filing.

The governor, who is seeking a third term and is on the 2028 presidential short list, said he won the money while on vacation with his wife and friends and plans to donate it to charity.

Pritzker and his wife reported a total income of $10.6 million in 2024.

Known for his interest in card games, he also founded a charity poker tournament, NBC News has reported.

The disclosure comes as Pritzker increasingly takes a national stance as a critic of President Trump amid heightened immigration enforcement in Chicago.
