The £40 Billion Brexit Black Hole Labour Won’t Talk About

Labour's Rachel Reeves thinks we're all stupid

After admitting that Brexit is costing us 4% of GDP

She suggested the UK-EU reset is mitigating that

It's not

0.13% GDP gain from UK–India deal
0.05% GDP gain from UK–US deal
0.3% GDP gain from UK–EU reset

The three 'trade deals' Labour celebrate come to 0.48% which is nowhere near the 4% lost by Brexit

The reason we have a black hole
The reason we will have tax rises
The reason we will have spending cuts

Is because the UK is outside the EU Single Market, and our ability to generate tax revenue is diminished because of the trade barriers Brexit has created with trading with the EU

Every year the UK is outside the EU, we miss out on about £40 billion in tax, so we have to make that up somewhere else

Labour's policy of making Brexit work is keeping the UK poorer

The only solution to swiftly fill that black hole, so we don't have tax rises, and we don't have even more cuts, is for the UK to rejoin the EU Single Market

Shame on Labour for taking over 15 months in office to say what we all know, an shame on Labour for putting 'make Brexit work' ideology ahead of what's better for the country

How many more billions in tax will be lost because Labour continue the Conservative legacy of Brexit?
