Children Play On Flooded Road A Week After Storm Pabuk
Children play on a flooded road more than a week after tropical storm Pabuk hit Thailand. The strong winds and heavy rain brought devastation to large parts of southern Thailand, with many regions left swamped by the deluge from burst rivers. Footage from Surat Thani province on January 12, the country's National Children's Day, shows several youngsters splashing in the flood water which has still not subsided. They were unable to attend local events to mark the occasion, but they made their own fun outside their homes. Officials believe that poor ground drainage is to blame but expect the liquid to slowly drain away over the next week.
