On this episode, we’re going “On the Hunt” with wildlife biologist and longtime cryptid field researcher, Keith Mclain to discuss his encounters with the night walkers, the Appalachian little people, cloaked Bigfoot, portals and so much more!

Keith Mclain has a lifetime of extensive outdoor related experience and credentials. He is an avid outdoorsman with a wide array of outdoor interests. To name a few: hiking, camping, mountain biking, hang-gliding, canoeing/kayaking, hunting, and fishing. He graduated college with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Wildlife Biology and followed that up with a Master of Aquaculture.

In his first job out of college he performed field surveys, bird surveys, and collected samples to assess the effects of agrichemicals on the local wildlife. His office was the outdoors. Then after his masters, he went on to manage a tropical fish farm – another job that kept him outside where he loves to be. Additionally, he has maintained his love of flora and fauna by becoming a Georgia Master Naturalist.

Keith loves combining his outdoor interests. He used to be an adventure racer and competed in the very first Eco-challenge – a race that combined hiking, running, land-navigation, horseback riding, canyoneering, rock climbing, canoeing, rafting, and mountain bike riding into a multi-day race that was almost 400 miles long. In fact, he sees those skills as being very beneficial to sasquatch research; they enable the researcher to cover a lot of ground and go where very few others go. He has also run ultra-marathons, his most notable being a 50k (31 mile) trail run up and down a mountain. He is also a practitioner of 3 martial arts: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Aikido and Escrima; as well as yoga; and even finds ways to incorporate their philosophies into his research.

Keith was a member of the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) from 2006 to 2010 and participated in or led many expeditions before creating Enigma Research Group with 3 of his fellow like-minded researchers. Once they realized there is much more in the woods than just Sasquatch, they created ERG to focus on the big picture… to look at other areas (ET and paranormal) and other cryptids to see just what fits where in the grand puzzle. He has had many close encounters over the past several years in all 3 areas.

Additionally, he has substantial training in Remote Viewing, which has turned out to be quite a valuable tool in working that grand puzzle. Keith is an experienced tracker who has trained with numerous groups in the United States. He is a member of the International Society of Professional Trackers and the Society of Primitive Technology. Keith has taught tracking and outdoor survival with ERG for several years now.

He loves carrying different types of gear (knives, axes, machetes, saws, multi-tools) into the woods and is always trying out something new to see what it is capable of. That said, he also loves minimalist camping, just carrying what is in his pockets, on his belt, or in a small day pack.
