Fun first, skills later.

🎬 YouTube Description: Episode 1 – Buffalo Ridge Ranch
Stack ‘em high. Subsoil deep. And maybe—just maybe—this place starts looking like a ranch again.

With the hay finally under cover, Jen sets her sights on the fields. But not before giving the kit a good scrub at the jet wash—well, most of it. The 7530 stays filthy on purpose. Wouldn’t want Jed thinking she’s gone soft.

At the Farmer’s Market in Moccasin, a few quiet conversations change the game. Jed offers up his old subsoiler. Someone else offers breeding stock. And that beat-up Mack R in the shed? It might just find a second life.

Back at Buffalo Ridge, the real work begins. Field A gets a proper deep till with Jed’s Kuhn DC 401, and not a moment too soon. Jed swings by just in time to offer dry wit, a warning about the Terraclear stone picker… and a hint that a helping hand might be coming soon.

Buffalo Ridge is beginning to breathe again—slowly, stubbornly, one dirty job at a time.

Continuing the Buffalo Ridge Ranch docuseries: a grounded look at rebuilding a Montana cattle operation from the dirt up. One job at a time. One setback at a time.

No crews. No shortcuts. Just 56 head to prepare for, and a whole lot of dust.

🐂 Featuring:
– 57 alfalfa bales and a telehandler with attitude
– Jet washing and gear shuffle
– Farmer’s Market gossip and equipment swaps
– Jen’s first subsoiling pass in Field A
– Jed Maddox and the gift of sarcasm
– Mack R discussions and CDL plans
– Breeding stock leads and rancher small talk

🚩 Set on Hard difficulty

Whether you're here for realistic farming, heavy haul trucking, or just to chill with immersive sim gameplay — you're in the right place.

I'm using a personally customised version of the Judith Plains map in which I have disabled specific crops and introduced new crops to the map. This is to add immersion by maintaining a crop type that is somewhat regionally accurate (based on Internet searches and long, drawn-out conversations with ChatGPT). Please don't ask for a copy of the map.

I'm also using a small script mod I've developed, again with the support of ChatGPT, that is used to hide the base-game mods not suited to, or common to, the region.

Disabled crops (but they still appear on the hud as I've not figured out how to remove them without breaking everything) - POTATO RICE RICELONGGRAIN SUGARBEET SUGARCANE COTTON GRAPE OLIVE POPLAR BEETROOT CARROT PARSNIP GREENBEAN SPINACH

Crops added - LENTILS, RYE, FLAX, TRITICALE, PINTO BEANS, CHICKPEAS, FODDER PEAS, FIELDGRASS
