Throwback Thursday: Tourettes Guy, of Early Internet Fame

So I realized today just how well these clips aged compared to other amateur comedy from this time period. This would indicate that he was truly ahead of his time. It had been years since I thought about him so I also decided that since the internet has grown since those days, I wanted to actually find more specific info about the clips, the guy in them etc etc. And I gotta say, I learned a lot I never had heard before, yet I still was entirely unable to figure out some of the more basic stuff. Like, are any of these outbursts genuine? Some are clearly staged, but many seem legit. I also wondered if he genuinely had tourette's or was just a goofy alcoholic with a super short temper and a bizarre vocabulary. One issue is that apparently for the past 2 decades its been a sort of reoccurring habit of the shows creator (tourettes guy's son) to intentionally mislead people by regularly spreading hoaxes and rumors just to troll their own fans.

Guys name is Daniel Hampstead. Many recent comments were suggesting that he passed away in April, but apparently since 2007 it has been a trend to spread lies only to later prove them wrong, as they managed to convince the entire internet for a short while.
