Police on Sunday said the man who was with Michael Brown when he was fatally shot by a Ferguson officer in August 2014, was killed earlier in the day.

A Ferguson Police Department spokesperson said officers responded at about 8:30 a.m. to a call for shots fired in the 9000 block of Abaco Drive. They found Dorian Johnson, 33, had been shot. He was taken to an area hospital where he died.
