WWE SmackDown 9/5/25 Review – AJ LEE AND BROCK LESNAR RETURNS! #shorts

SmackDown, September 5th, 2025 — absolutely historic, folks. One of the best shows they’ve done in YEARS. Let’s break it down.

John Cena opens the show — his last time ever in Chicago as a wrestler. Powerful moment. Emotional. He debuted in WWE here in 2002 — full circle. Beautiful stuff. BUT before he leaves, out comes Sami Zayn, new U.S. Champion. Sami debuted against Cena 10 years ago, and now wants to return the favor. He challenges Cena — right now — for the title. Amazing!

They start having an absolute classic — then BAM, here comes Brock Lesnar. Destroys them both. Match gets thrown out. What a moment though. Chaos, but I loved it. That’s wrestling!

Then we got Aleister Black vs. Damian Priest. Black attacks him BEFORE the bell. Dirty move. Priest still wants to fight — warrior spirit! But a Black Mass ends it. Great match. Hard-hitting, very physical. Very real.

Giulia defends the Women’s U.S. Title against Michin. Fun match. Giulia wins with the Arrivederci — powerful knee strike. Kiana James, her manager, tries to cheat, but Michin shuts her down... until after the match, when Kiana blindsides her! Total disrespect. I like it.

Then Seth Rollins’ music hits — but surprise, he’s in the CROWD. Introduces his wife, Becky Lynch, the Women’s Intercontinental Champion. Becky hits the ring and trashes Chicago HARD. Even says CM Punk sucks — and that brings out PUNK HIMSELF. Chicago explodes. BUT — Punk won’t hit a woman… so he brings out AJ LEE. YES. After 10 years, AJ Lee is BACK in WWE! Massive return.

This was one of the best SmackDowns I’ve seen in years. Real heat. Real stories. Real stars. WWE is cooking again, folks.
