Rumble / Strange Weather - Heavy snowfall caused air traffic disruption on Saturday, January 5, at New Chitose Airport in Sapporo, on Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido. The weather conditions forced airlines to cancel nearly 100 flights and delay more than 100 at the end of the country’s New Year holiday season, while the airport closed one of its two runways, Kyodo reported. Japan Airlines tweeted that on “January 5, flights to/from Sapporo New Chitose airport are experiencing irregular operations due to snow.” Credit: boe_pri via Storyful
