How to enable 2fa fortnite (2025)

Open your web browser on phone, PC, or tablet.

In Google, type Epic Games login and open the first result.

Sign in to your Epic Games account. You can use email or your linked accounts like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Google, Apple, Steam, Facebook, or LEGO.

Go to Account settings, then open Password and Security.

Find Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and choose Turn On or Enable.

If asked to verify, check your email inbox, copy the code, and continue.

Choose one method for 2FA: Authenticator App or SMS.

Authenticator App method:
Install Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy on your phone.

On Epic, pick Authenticator App.
Scan the QR code with the app, or copy and paste the setup key into the app.

The app shows a 6-digit code. Enter that code on Epic and confirm.

Save your backup codes if Epic gives you any.
SMS method:

On Epic, pick SMS Authentication.
Add your phone number with country code.
You will get a 6-digit code by text. Enter the code and confirm.
Your phone number is now linked for login codes and account recovery.

Done:

2FA is now active. Next time you log in, you will enter your password and then a code.

Quick safety tips:
• Do not share your codes with anyone.
• Keep your email secure with a strong password.
• If you change your phone, move your authenticator or update your number first.
