The infant Ghadir Brikeh (5 months old) passed away at Nasser Medical Complex after suffering from severe malnutrition. Since birth, she had been struggling with brain atrophy, brain impairment, and cerebral palsy, but the lack of proper food and essential treatments worsened her condition until it deteriorated drastically—especially as her mother is also suffering from malnutrition.

Before the war, children in such conditions, even when reaching a critical stage, did not deteriorate to this extent of emaciation and malnutrition that turns their bodies into skeletons.

وفاة الرضيعة غدير بريكة (5 أشهر) في مجمع ناصر الطبي، بعد إصابتها بسوء تغذية حاد، كانت تعاني منذ ولادتها من ضمور واعتلال في الدماغ وشلل دماغي، لكن نقص الغذاء والعلاجات اللازمة فاقم حالتها الصحية حتى تدهورت بشكل كبير، خاصة وأن والدتها أيضًا تعاني من سوء تغذية.

وقبل الحرب، لم يكن الأطفال في مثل حالتها، حتى وإن بلغوا مرحلة الخطر، يصلون إلى هذا الحد من الهزال وسوء التغذية الذي يحول أجسادهم إلى هياكل عظمية.
