Ever since the release of ABZU in 2016, Giant Squid Games has been providing gamers with the most fluid, beautiful, and sonically rich multi-media experiences available. Their games are like music videos come to life and sending you into that perfect flow state that you can get lost into for hours. I remember spending entire evenings stringing arrowshots into a neverending surf across the the dark forests in The Pathless.

Now its time for us to do it again with skateboarding. Not just any skateboarding, but the coolest, wuxia, flying sword, half pipe ramping, magic skateboarding. Combined with the Tony Hawks remake and the soon released Skate Story, this is the year of the skateboarding games and I am 100% for it.

As great as these games are though, it is undeniable that a major part of what makes them such impactful and long lasting art pieces is their unbelievable soundtracks. And Sword of the Sea is no different. Part introspective, part inspiring, part bitter-sweet, and incredibly atmospheric, the Sword of the Sea soundtrack is just as great as its predecessors (if not better in my opinion) and will definitely go down as one of the greatest gaming soundtracks of all time.
