Vice President Vance and Defense Secretary Hegseth Visit National Guard Troops in Washington, DC
Vice President Vance, who was joined by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Stephen Miller, visited the National Guard troops on patrol at Union Station in Washington, DC. The troops were part of a boosted federal law enforcement presence throughout the nation's capital, part of President Trump's crackdown on crime and homelessness in Washington, DC. Vice President Vance thanked the National Guard members for their service, while praising the Trump administration's anti-crime efforts, which was echoed by Secretary Hegseth and Mr. Miller, who complained of audible protests from "stupid white hippies" who were also in the train terminal
