This morning, I set out for a walk at the Center for Ecological Development and Recreation (CEDAR) in Bukidnon, aiming to visit a waterfall I’d heard about. But before I even reached it, the trail itself completely captivated me. Surrounded by towering trees, lush greenery, and the cool, crisp air of the mountains, every step felt like a little escape from the rush of daily life.

Birdsong echoed through the forest, dappled sunlight filtered through the leaves, and that earthy scent of untouched wilderness made me slow down and savor the moment. It was a reminder that in the Philippines, the journey is often just as magical as the destination.
