My name is Danu, the Spirit Caller of my people. I was born under a full moon and, unlike other newborns, I didn’t cry—I simply stared at the fire. My grandmother, the Spirit Caller before me, taught me the plants, the stars, the old songs, and the power of silence. My first vision came at a midsummer gathering: a great white elk walking through mist. Words not my own flowed from me, and my grandmother placed her staff in my hands.

Since then, I’ve guided my people—blessing seeds, leading seasonal rituals, helping the dying join the ancestors, and speaking the names of the dead so they are never forgotten. I’ve stood among great stone circles that mark the sun, the stars, and the cycles of life, feeling the voices of those before us.

Being a Spirit Caller is not about power, but service—listening to the spirits, keeping traditions, and connecting the living with the dead. My path is heavy yet full of meaning. When I am gone, another will take my place, and the spirits will keep speaking to those who are willing to hear.
