Deep in Victoria's Wimmera region stands a powerful tribute to youth, community spirit, and rural Australia's evolving story — the Rupanyup Silo Art. What makes this mural unique on the Australian Silo Art Trail? Instead of typical farming imagery, it celebrates the future through two local young athletes: Ebony Baker and Jordan Weidemann.

Created in 2017 by acclaimed Russian street artist Julia Volchkova, these striking monochrome portraits transformed ordinary grain silos into cultural landmarks. This was actually the first completed mural on the Western Victoria Silo Art Trail, bringing international artistic flair to a distinctly local canvas.

But Rupanyup's artistic story extends beyond paint. Local artist John Brady's hand-carved timber sculptures throughout town capture rural life beautifully — from native wildlife to working dogs, and the moving tribute "The Rupanyup Woman" honoring rural women's strength.

Together, these artworks create an open-air gallery that makes this quiet town a must-visit destination for travelers and art enthusiasts exploring the full Silo Art Trail.
