Wesley LePatner: From Wall Street to a legacy of love

Wesley LePatner, 43, graduated summa cum laude from Yale in 2003, spent over a decade at Goldman Sachs before joining Blackstone in 2014. She served as Global Head of Core+ Real Estate and CEO of Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust.
On July 28, 2025, as she was leaving the building at 345 Park Avenue, she was shot in the lobby — she was not the intended target. At the funeral in Central Synagogue, her 14-year-old daughter said tearfully: "My mom was like my rock… I never imagined this happening at 14".
