What the Heck is Happening in Gaza? Lets Talk about the War in Israel. There is a popular narrative in the media that a Ge-n0-cide in taking place in GAZA right now with the Palestinians. This was reported by the New York Times and other mainstream media outlets. So in this video we are going to take a look at the facts and see if this is true. We are going to look at an article from John Spencer Titled: I’m a War Scholar. There Is No Ge-n0-cide in Gaza. On October 7th Hamas started a war with Israel, which brought about huge changes in the Middle East. 174,000 buildings have been destroyed or damaged, accounting for up to 70 percent of all structures in the Gaza Strip. The pictures of this war really break your heart. But does this mean Israel is trying to eliminate all the Palestinians? Lets take a closer look at the deaths in the war. The population of Gaza at the start of the war in October 2023 is estimated to have been around 2.1 to 2.3 million people, based on various sources. Hamas claims 59,866 deaths of 2.2 million people, which is 2.72% of population. Israel claims 30,000 deaths of 2.2 million people is 1.36% of population. Report, suggest Hamas's core membership is closer to 30,000, or about 1.4% of the population. Given the data, a reasonable estimate is that 1–2% of Gaza’s population are active Hamas members. Considering the data it is hard to believe any Ge-n0-cide is taking place in Gaza. When you look at the data a small numbers of civilians have been deleted. We morn the lost of all life. Is this an ugly war- Yes! No one wants war. But we realize wars are necessary at times. Christians should support Israel and Jewish people. Christians should also be concerned for those in Palestine as well. Christians should be praying for peace in Jerusalem (Psalm 122).
