The honest answer? It depends.
But here’s a good general rule to follow:
🧊 Use ice for new injuries, swelling, or inflammation like a twisted ankle or a sore shoulder after yard work.
🔥 Use heat for tight muscles, stiffness, or chronic aches like that low back pain that sneaks up after a day on the boat or in the garden.
