Busting FBI Ballistics Part 1: Performance | The Dead Calibers Archive

I'm arguing that the FBI ballistics standards have given us an incomplete view of a handgun's performance. So I'm proposing a new standard for evaluating not just the bullet, but the whole package.

But first we need to lay some groundwork for this discussion so in this first part of a three part breakdown of how performance is evaluated we look at some of the major factors such as penetration, expansion, muzzle energy, and capacity.
