Cardiologist Dr. Peter McCulloughâ„¢ responded on NTD news regarding the wise choice made by tennis superstar Novak Djokovic in declining COVID-19 vaccination. The shot posed a risk of heart damage and was not worth it for a mild illness that is very treatable. Dr. McCullough quotes an NCAA study showing SARS-CoV-2 infection does not pose a meaningful risk of myocarditis. However, the COVID-19 vaccines carry and FDA warning for heart damage and in some athletes this has led to cardiac arrest and death. Courtesy NTD News July 13, 2022.
