Back on Sunday April 6, 2025 we honored the passing of actor Val Kilmer with a watch party of the original Top Gun from 1986.

Now on this fourth of July weekend we will honor the spirit of the United States of America with a watch party of 2022's hit sequel, Top Gun: Maverick.

Released by Paramount Pictures on May 27, 2022, Top Gun: Maverick see actor Tom Cruise return to the role of Capt. Pete Mitchell, callsign "Marverick" thirty-six years after the original film where we find an older Maverick assigned to secret operations as a test pilot only to be recalled to the United States Navy's top tier fighter pilot training school "Top Gun" as an instructor to teach the current elite fighter pilots the art of dog fighting.

Top Gun: Maverick was directed by Joseph Kosinski and stars Tom Cruise as Maverick, Jennifer Connelly as Penny Benjamin, Miles Teller as Lt. Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw, Jon Hamm as Adm. Beau 'Cyclone' Simpson, Charles Parnell as Adm. Solomon 'Warlock' Bates, Glen Powell as Lt. Jake 'Hangman' Seresin with Ed Harris as Radm. Chester 'Hammer' Cain and Val Kilmir as
Adm. Tom 'Iceman' Kazansky.
