From Karbala to Gaza: Sacrifices that Illuminate Path of Human Liberation

Laith Marouf visits the holy shrines of Husayn ibn Ali (PBUH) and his half-brother al-Abbas (PBUH) in Karbala, Iraq, where the armies of the usurper Emperor Yazid ibn Mu'awiya (founder of the Umayyad Empire 681 AD) massacred the majority of Prophet Mohammad’s family. He tours the shrines and meets with Jassam Mohammad al-Saidi, Researcher at Holy Shrine of Abbas (PBUH), to explain the importance of the actions and martyrdom of Husayn (PBUH) and his companions, as a source of inspiration for revolt against unjust rule throughout history, and our world today.
