J&K: Encounter In Kishtwar; Three Jaish-e-Mohammed Terrorists Trapped | N18G

An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the Chatroo area of Jammu & Kashmir's (J&K) Kishtwar district. The gun battle ensued after security forces launched a search operation based on the intelligence input over the presence of terrorists in the area. According to reports, at least three terrorists believed to be linked with Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad are trapped in the cordoned area. Security has been beefed up in J&K as the annual Amarnath Yatra has started. Security forces are on high alert, and the pilgrim route has been declared a no-fly zone. Around 600 additional companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed in J&K.
