Timing Is Everything

We we need things “right now” but God has a way of stretching us, increasing our faith and teaching us much by the use of time. His time is not our time, but His time of breakthrough is always perfect time.

If something is not going your way, you want to hurry up and get through it. But you are not wasting time if you wait until the way is clear. Timing is everything with God, and we all have learned that various times throughout our walk with Him. We have to respect the timing He chooses and learn to wait patiently, enduring as He aligns what is good for us with what is good for His Kingdom.

Sometimes we are totally blocked from doing something we had planned to do. Or we are going forward and we get blocked. Just like in golf when the sprinklers go on at the wrong time and you can’t complete the hole. The best thing is to just move on and change up your plans. We can pray, pray and pray, and nothing happens in the time we would like it to. So, we do the best with what life is handling us out and not get in the negative.

If God’s timing and His methods are not what you thought would happen. Don’t get into an emotional tizzy about it. What can you do about it. When the sprinklers come on and the timing is bad, you can get all upset about it or you can just skip the hole and move on to the next one. It is like that in life. When something suddenly pops up in your life and you have to change your course to avoid it, being negative doesn’t really help the situation. Trusting God is going forward with the next possible step, using your God given common sense, and do what He has already directed you to do.

Yes, it is definitely aggravating when you have to change course off of what you have planned, when your timing does not fit the circumstance like a round peg in a square hole. What could I have done when the sprinklers went off, it was the next hole, but I could not play it, those jets of water would have truly not felt well. I had to move on to the next hole, I was not going to tangle with that kind of force. Just like in life, we pray and God doesn’t do what we want, the timing seems bad to us, but not to God, because God always finishes well, perfectly, in His perfect timing.

Focus on the positive! When we lean into the negative, our attitude really has a stank to it that most people can’t handle and we pass on our negative from person to person. Don’t get in a tizzy, just lean into the sovereign sway of God and let Him lead. We all know from experience that God leads well, and when He makes a change, there is a god purpose in that change that will benefit us much better than our original plan.

Sometimes it goes the way of bad timing, we think it is bad timing, but it always ends up to be good, with the best yet to come. I would not tangle with God and buck up my will against His timing, been there and learned that lesson. I wait and take the next logical step. When we are unsure, we take the next logical step. When I was unsure why the sprinklers when off on the next hole I was to play, I just waited and then took the next logical step by skipping that hole and going to the next one. Easy-peasy.
