Watch as a security guard becomes a lifesaving hero after stopping an active shooter outside Crosspoint Church in Wayne, Michigan during Sunday service. The guard used his Ford F-150 to strike the suspect before exiting the vehicle and opening fire. Wayne Police confirmed the suspect was shot and killed by the church security guard. Congregants fled the building for cover, and so far, there are no reports of casualties other than the shooter.

When this story initially broke, outlets were reporting that the shooter rammed his truck into the building. Newer reports from The AP dispute this:

Police said one person was shot in the leg. [Pastor] Kelly said a church member ran the shooter over with his truck, giving the security guard time to shoot him. The person who was shot in the leg was the security guard, the pastor told the newspaper. No one else was hurt, he said.

A member of the church saw a man marching in with a gun, reportedly ran him over with his truck, then the security guard who was shot in the leg took the shooter down.

Reports are coming out of Wayne, Michigan that an active shooter rammed his truck into CrossPointe Church and began opening fire on congregants.

But a church security guard put him down.

At least one person was injured in a shooting at a Wayne church on Sunday morning, police and sources tell 7 News Detroit. The suspected shooter was reportedly killed by a security guard.
