Florida police don't play when you ask to be arrested

Orange County, Florida – On 6/4/25 police were conducting routine patrols when they observed a female sitting in a publicly maintained water fountain. Upon approaching the female, she was observed standing in the fountain as if it were a bathing area. Officers began questioning the female about the city ordinance violation, who then insisted on being taken to jail. Police follow through with her request, which could have ultimately been a simple warning if she had cooperated.
