Jesus said the Father is greater because He took the role of a servant on earth, not because He was less divine.
When Christ declared, "the Father is greater than I" (John 14:28), He spoke of His earthly position of humility, not a lower essence or weaker nature. He willingly emptied Himself, stepped into humanity, and subjected Himself to the Father's authority for our salvation.
Jesus temporarily limited His divine privileges, like His full knowledge of the hour (Mark 13:32), yet remained God, eternally equal with the Father.
Demanding explicit words like "pray to the Holy Spirit" or "I am God" shows ignorance, not insight. The Bible unmistakably portrays the Holy Spirit as God, fully worthy of worship, praise, and prayer (Acts 5:3-4; Matthew 28:19).
To reject the truth because the exact phrase isn't present is shallow and blind. Jesus claimed divine authority clearly and repeatedly: "Before Abraham was, I AM" (John 8:58). His listeners understood perfectly—so should you.
