The Transatlantic Banking and Insurance empire were forged from the buying and selling of humans and cotton in the United States the government didn't have anything to do slavery except protect the capitalists that made their fortunes in human trafficking. Many of which are blue chip companies today still fungaling government and tipping the scale to put the proffits in their pockets.
