🚨 KNEECAP in court on a terrorism charge - my opinion ‼️

Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, known as Mo Chara from the Irish rap trio Kneecap, faced court in London on June 18, 2025, charged with a terrorism offense. The charge stems from an incident at a November 2023 gig at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, where he allegedly displayed a Hezbollah flag and shouted “up Hamas, up Hezbollah,” both proscribed terrorist organizations in the UK. Prosecutors clarified the case centers on this alleged support for a banned group, not his vocal support for Palestine. Ó hAnnaidh denies the charges, and Kneecap has called the prosecution a “witch hunt” aimed at silencing their political views, particularly after their pro-Palestine stance at Coachella. He was released on unconditional bail until his next hearing on August 20, 2025.
