Amalgoom is a megawad which intends to unite maps from Doom and Doom 2 using the Boom (complevel 9) format. The project is a homage to the original games and its creators. Our main guideline was to study the original maps and the style of their respective authors, then to combine the two maps into one as if the original mappers had today's tools and time. This same principle was applied to the OST.
