Loyalsock Trail Day 2 – Rainy 21-Mile Grind with Angel Falls & Waterfalls | Thru-Hiking Pennsylvania

Day 2 of my Loyalsock Trail thru-hike was a wet one—21 soggy miles in steady rain with soaked boots, dripping pack straps, and swampy trail sections. But there was beauty in the misery: stunning creekside views, flowing water features, and a reroute that led us right to the iconic Angel Falls.

Despite being drenched, we kept pushing forward. When we reached camp, it was time for shelter setups and camp chores. My buddy hunkered down in his tent while I strung up my hammock and tried to find that elusive dry spot to cook dinner.

This is one of those days where backpacking becomes a mental challenge—but it also reminds you how rewarding it can be to embrace the elements and keep moving forward.
