INSANE Amount Superman NEEDS to Break Even at the Box Office

A recent report suggests the figure of nearly $400 million for James Gunn’s Superman may be more accurate than what the director claimed was the case.

According to tax filings in Ohio the budget for Superman was nearly $400 million. James Gunn tried to refute these claims, but never provided any evidence to show why the tax filings are wrong. Now a report from The Hollywood Reporter claims that not only is the $363 million figure more accurate, but the final budget may be more. It’s unclear why James Gunn and Warner Bros would lie about the amount, but it seems as if they want to set a low bar publicly so if the movie falls below profitability they could at least claim success.
