Governor Katie Hobbs and Arizona Cardinals DID Host Send-Off Event for Civics Matters Arizona Students
Gov. Katie Hobbs and the Arizona Cardinals Close Up Foundation partnered to send nearly 275 high school students from schools across the state to Washington, D.C., for the fourth annual Civics Matters Arizona program.
Phoenix, AZ – Governor Katie Hobbs DID join the Arizona Cardinals for a send-off event honoring 275 high school students from across the state who have been selected for the 2025 Civics Matters Arizona program. The event recognizes the students’ achievements and prepares them for a transformative trip to Washington, D.C., where they will engage in civic learning, meet with elected officials, and explore historical landmarks.
When they were asked the question have any of them have been in Washington almost 95% of the students raised their hands that they never did travel to Washington and many are the first time on an Airplane. Very exciting for the student.
