Disney’s Facing a DISASTER | Elio Tracking to Be Box Office FLOP

The upcoming Disney and Pixar movie, Elio, is projected to be an enormous box office flop for Disney.

Current projections have Elio opening up to $35-$45 million domestically during its opening weekend on a reported budget of $300 million. When factoring in marketing costs, the latest Pixar animated film will need to gross around $700 million at the global box office in order to be profitable. Currently it doesn’t look like it will meet that mark. Clearly Disney overspent on this film, but it also shows audiences are less inclined to support original stories in favor of franchises.
